Everyone constructs a personal narrative to romanticize their emotional connection to a song or artist.

Firewater: The Man With the Blurry Face
If I was you, and I was going to be playing lots of internet poker in order to finance the quitting of my day job, I’d want my handle to be BlurryFace.

Firewater: Don't Make it Stop
Firewater probably has as many songs in my personal top 100 as any other band. It always surprises me a little bit that this one has caught the most registered plays in my iTunes. I think it’s a nice testament to some sort of controlled randomness.

Firewater: Weird to Be Back
We had about 100 extra Coorses in the fridge the other day so some friends came over and helped me both drink them and also QC this mix. They said this song would clear the room out. Never mind the ignorance behind that statement, the real gist of my rage (which would stay with me all day, culminating in my urinating into the garbage can at a local tavern) is that these mixes aren’t meant to keep any room filled. These aren’t theme mixes with titles like “Emergency Dance Mix” and “Mix With Girls Names in the Songs” and “Mix for a Rainy Day.” I am here to display the length and perhaps the girth of my overall mixbag. Perhaps you learn something new and interesting. Perhaps you share with me something new and interesting. But please, don’t take these mixes to be themes or DJ mixes of any sort.
