I used to have friends drop in on me when I did my college radio show (WERW 1570), and whenver they said “Can I play a request?” I would die a little bit on the inside. Not because their songs sucked, just because it would pull me away from whatever playlist I was building in my head. Like when you’re playing a CD and somebody else isn’t interested in it and wants you to play something that they brought over. IRREGARDLESS! I was always happy to have Erin and Tim come down to the show, because I’d ask them to request this song which they always brought with them.
